Throwback Thursday – DeKalb State Bank

This bank was part of a wave of new start-up banks in the late 1980s and early 1990s.  These banks were organized local business people who did not like having to deal with the giant mega banks.  The organizers of DeKalb State Bank had seen some of FSF’s other traditional “Williamsburg” style banks, such as McDuffee Bank in Thompson, and they asked for that same look and style.  The bank was completed in 1992.
